Just a week before the League AGM we ere approached by a group of ladies who wanted to play football but were unable to regularly because the club they were with had too many players. With most of a team in place and a manager, they didn't have facilities or a club. Lanner were more than happy to help provide football for them and have entered a Ladies team in to the League. With very little warning about this happening, e are a little under equipped. Whilst we have some old kits to play in, they are old and they are fitted in men's shapes and sizes.
We are after a donation to help us buy a new playing kit for the ladies team, as well as some match balls and equipment to help the team. Whilst we will provide what we can for all of our sides, we are a very small club and the majority of outgoings are covered by members of the club.
Lanner FC (in this incarnation) has been running since 1981. e have overcome many difficulties over the past 6 years that I have been with the club, including coming through the Pandemic period. We are an England Accredited club (previously Charter Standard) meaning we carry out our activities in line with best practice from the FA. We are the last sporting team left in our village and proud that we are able to grow the club and the community at the same time
