Who will benefit
Expected impact
The Smart Works service is high-impact and transformational. We expect that at least 65% of the unemployed women we help will go on to get the job within a month of their visit, in line with our current success rate. These women will be able to begin a new chapter of financial sustainability for themselves and their families. We also expect that in line with our current impact statistics over 90% will feel confident in their new outfit, confident to succeed in their next interview and clearer about their strengths, skills and experiences.
Track record
Smart Works have a strong track record of supporting unemployed women. Since our foundation in 2013 we've supported over 30,000 women across the UK and over 2,500 women in London last year. 69% of those women went on to get the job within a month of their visit. The impact of our service is best described in the words of our clients themselves, such as Marnelli who visited Smart Works last year, and got the job in a Business Support Role at GCHQ: “I had the most amazing experience, especially in the dressing room. The lovely ladies helped me with the styling from clothes to shoes to accessories. I have never felt pampered before and it feels surreal.
