The Pitch
Problem statement
Our project is to provide a safe and secure place for all ladies of any age or background to be able to join together for their love of football. We accept all ages and abilities and provide coaching as well as a sense of community.
Solution
Funding will be spent mainly on pitch fees. We pay £38 for a an hours access to a pitch. The team wish to train more as they have noticed a big impact on not only their physical health but their mental health. Having that time for them, where they aren’t mums, wives, carers etc is proving an amazing tool in helping their mental health. We would like to be able to afford to offer training twice a week.
Why are we best placed to deliver?
We already have everything set up and in place. We have a contract with the school for their pitch and we have an established number of committed ladies. We ask those that can to pay a small amount of subs but we don’t turn anyone away if they can’t. To us it’s more important to provide that safe space for all to have access to. We have 4 coaches who volunteer their time and we want to continue to grow. We have a mix of ages between 22 to 46, with 21 ladies currently signed to the team through the FA. We have paid all the fees and insurance so far but to be able to keep going, we need help.

Expected impact
With more money we can open up to more people and be able to offer additional training sessions. There is a real gap for non competitive ladies football. We want to be able to provide the space for that gap.
