Helping and supporting the most vulnerable people with disabilities to be listened to, to have a choice, to be able to afford to pay their bills, stay out of debt, stay living in the community in their own home for longer with help and support they need. We visit clients in their own homes in the last year we helped 368 people with 4568 issues between them that are affecting their lives. This equates to an average of 12 issues per person including Safeguarding, Child Protection, Managing Finances, Social Care, Housing, Tenancy issues, Gaining access to other services they need, Mental Health issues affecting their lives.
The goal is to enable people to get to a better position in life with help and support, the funding would be spent on travel because after salaries this is our highest expense due to the fact we go to see the client in their own home. Breaking down barriers for them, helping them for as long as they need help.
Over 27 years' experience delivering this work, we have helped over 10,000 people over this time. We have empathy, a caring attitude, we are non-judgmental, we listen, we give the client a choice, explain things so they can understand them, support them through adult abuse processes.
