Endon Cricket Club has over 500 members, with over 350 being over 18. In total there are14 mixed teams playing Cricket & Football this year with 3 senior mixed cricket teams playing on a Saturday and Sunday. We also now have at one of the few, in North Staffordshire, Ladies Teams playing hardball cricket at the club The clubs membership numbers have grown considerably over the past few years but, unfortunately, not all of our facilities are now fit for purpose A few years ago we fortunate enough to obtain an ECB grant to refurbish the Ladies toilets facility The gents toilets is now in a dire condition and not fit for purpose. A major refurbishment is much needed and now long overdue
Any grant monies provided will be used to install:- 1) A new suspended ceiling 2) New side panels to cover the currently poorly tiles walls 3) New urinals 4) New toilets 5) New showers 6) New wash hand basins 7) New Electric Hand Dryers The impact will be huge at the club giving the members a much needed boost with the new facility to match the ladies refurbishment completed to a high standard a few years ago We also now hold weddings and other party functions at the club and these improvements will see more bookings at the club for these type of events
I have been Chairman at the cricket club for past 14 years and have successfully managed the many improvements carried out over this time including:- a) substantial club house refurbishments, b) new practice net facilities, c) substantial roof repairs d) renovation of groundsman brick storage building e) rebuild/renovation of Snack Shack brick building f) renovation of ladies toilet
