The Pitch

Problem statement

Sport England insight data highlights that there are over 1000 people in Rossendale who would like to try Tennis. A recent study from Denmark concluded that playing tennis regularly can add almost 10 yrs to your life well above cycling and swimming which add only 3 to 4 yrs. We have the only well maintained Tennis courts in Rossendale as the parks have been neglected. We propose to open up our courts to non members to create a weekly Rusty racquets tennis session for adult beginners. We will also loan the racquets and balls so everyone can participate.

Solution

To get more people playing Tennis so they can improve their activity levels. We will create a weekly Rusty racquets tennis session for adult beginners. It will be delivered by a qualified coach and participants will be loaned the racquets and balls. We will purchase racquets and balls which can be loaned to participants. Racquets. £480 Balls. £200 Coaching. £720 Total. £1400

Why are we best placed to deliver?

We are a local Community Amateur Sports Club and we are a registered venue with the Lawn Tennis Association with a fully accredited coach. We have the only well kept courts in the area and want to open them up to the local community to get more people playing Tennis.
