We need funding to purchase a ride on mower to manage the pitch an enable the teams to play on a safe surface and we also need to fix up our "tea hut". The roof is damaged, there are mice, the water pipe has burst and the electrics are faulty so its unusable for our players, parents and supporters.
LSFC provides sport for children and adults promoting integration of the military and civilian population we need funding to purchase a ride on mower and to fix up our tea hut. We have both youth and adult teams with a great mix of civillian and military - both playing supporting and helping to run the club and all are volunteers. We also run kids football clubs in the school holidays for local children and in the summer we had over 30 chidren for a week with all coaches givng their time freely. The mower will help us provide a well managed, safe playing surface for all users and the tea hut upgrade will enable us to provide hot and cold drinks and snacks for players, parents and supporters.
We have many volunteers from many diferent backgrounds with many different skills. i am the chairman and i work in facilities management so i also have experience in this area.

Currently our pitch is has long grass and an uneven surface, the tractor used previously no longer works and we are keen to have something in place before springtime. We have soccer schools coming up in the school holidays and having good, safe playing surface is really important for these to take place and the kids love coming along for the week. The area we operate in has a high population of military personel with a wide demographic - we have families from UK, Carribean, Ghana, Nepal, Fiji, Malawi plus many more. integration is a big thing in our town as in the past its been very much us and them - military/civilian. Our football activities does integration in a big way and gaining this funding will enable this to continue and enable us to grow our membership as we will be more appealing with upgraded facilities and a smart, safe pitch and the ability to feed and water our visitors, players, parents and officials.
