The Pitch

Problem statement

The school's ICT is not fully equipped with working computers, and the computers are over five years old. The school has asked the charity for funding to replace all the computers in the ICT suite, which will cost about £15,000. We want to raise £2,000 through this platform and have other funding plans in the pipeline.

Solution

The project's goal is to raise £15,000 for the school to purchase 30 computers. The result is that the school will have a fully functioning ICT suite, and each child will be able to use a computer solely during IT lessons. The youngest computer in the ICT suite is over 5 years old, and currently, the children have to share, which is not ideal.

Why are we best placed to deliver?

We are the PTA, the parent led charity that helps raised funds to improve the education of our children. More now than ever, schools are relying on PTAs to rasie money due to the schools not receiving sufficient resoursed from the Goverment.

Expected impact

Like all London boroughs there is a high level of poverty at the school, so these computers will give the majority of the children the opportunities to learn how to use a computer which is unlikely in a home setting.
