Digital Inclusion is defined as not having a device, access to the Internet or the skills to access tasks online. It is a socio-economical problem that affects mostly minorities, those with language barriers, disabilities or that are going through life-changing experiences. Being able to have a device is life changing. It enables people to find employment, get legal advice, ask for help, connect with friends and families and so much more. The majority of the organisations we work with work with families, that have no device at home. This means that for such families, having a computer will include an extensive amount of secondary beneficiaries, as everyone will have access to it.
Since the pandemic started, we have donated thousands of devices. We are well connected with our local community and our training programme, specifically tailored for those that are experiencing mental health problems, has a very successful outcome, where more than 80% of our students move into employment or further education.
