Hope for Food helps the homeless and financially vulnerable in Bournemouth. There is an ever present need to help people with food, when the choice can sometimes be pay the bills or put food on the table. We supply food parcels of non perishable staple items to help households who have been referred to us by schools, social, care or health workers. We are currently supplying around 120 per week.
The goal of the project is to be able to buy the items required that go in these food parcels to ensure that we never have to refuse someone who needs our help.
Hope for Food has been in existence for 10 years and all people are referred to us by local schools, social workers and health & care workers from the local council.

The impact of this project on someone who is financially vulnerable is that they know they will have food items to help feed themselves and their families for that week. When you are not sure how you will afford to buy food, the food parcel we provide is essential.
All our food parcels are given out to people who have been referred to us by schools and health/social workers from the local council.
