Title: Creating a Central Calendar for Bristol Parent Carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) We are a dedicated Parent Carer Forum representing the interests of parents caring for children with SEND in Bristol. Our mission is to enhance the lives of parent carers and their children by fostering a supportive and informed community. In Bristol, there are many organisations that support SEND families. However, parents often struggle to keep track of the myriad of events, workshops, and support services offered by these organizations. This lack of coordination leads to missed opportunities for families to access vital resources.
We propose the creation of a Central SEND Calendar, a user-friendly online platform that consolidates all SEND-related events and activities from these 35 organizations into one central location. This calendar will serve as a vital tool for parent carers, providing easy access to information about events, workshops, support groups, and services, both for themselves and their children. This will lead to: Streamlined Communications Improved Engagement Community strengthening
