Alridha Foundation

Who we are

Description

Alridha Foundation runs a number of projects and events relating to community support, the elderly, youth, education, research, and charitable aid work for the Black, Asian, and Middle Eastern Muslim community. Our organisation has been operating for over 10 years serving the community. We have provided services to thousands of individuals over the years and have a proven track record in doing so. Additionally, we operate Alridha Supplementary School on Saturdays which achieved an Advanced Quality Mark from the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Educations (NRSCE). The charity aims to empower young people and give opportunity to those less fortunate. It runs regular afterschool extracurricular programs and school holiday activities for young people where it embeds self-esteem building and mental health awareness activities. Such a soft and indirect approach is found to be the most effective especially in communities where stigma around such topics still exist.
