Who we are

Description

Yorkshire Coast Sight Support (YCSS) support any resident, carer or persons with an interest in, or suffering from, a visual impairment. In 2019/20 YCSS had over 3,000 people through our door, some regular some new and even some holiday visitors. Our Resource centre stock accessibility equipment, our small team offer support advice and training, we link with many other visual impairment charities, Blind Veterans, RNIB, Guide Dogs and many other regional sight support centres. YCSS and an independent charity raising all our own funding, we get no funding from the health sector although we do get referrals. Our social activities and support has been described as essential by our County Council and invaluable by the Health Trust. We do anything we can to help!
