Loughborough Town Cricket Club

Who we are

Description

Amateur cricket club, open to all, offering junior cricket with teams at all age groups from age 5, girls and women's cricket teams, and senior cricket with 3 teams in the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League. The 1st XI play in the League's Premier Division with the 2nd XI in the First Division. There is much scope to improve the Club's facilities and equipment to allow all players the opportunity to realise their potential. The ground adjoins two of the town's deprived areas, in Deciles 3 and 4 of the Indices of Multiple Deprivation, which provides ongoing opportunities to engage disadvantaged local people within easy walking distance. The Club has a full winter training programme in a neighbouring school Sports Hall which also makes access year-round from these adjoining areas easy on foot. The Club would like to extend the existing outfield onto overgrown land to offer junior football and walking sports for older people, hopefully to include those from the deprived areas.
