Blackpool Wren Rovers

Who we are

Description

The football and social club formed in 1931 and were one of the founder members of the North West Counties league. There are 5 adult teams of which 2 are the former Blackpool ladies who moved to Wrens in 1995. The 3 men's teams are amateur play in the West Lancs League and the North west Counties league meeting teams from as far north as Whitehaven and down to Liverpool and across to Burnley. We have a clubhouse for the use of our members (players) The club is ran, in the main, by 5 volunteers and is non profit making. In fact, we run at a loss and rely on fund raising to keep afloat. All our players need to pay to play just to be able to afford running costs of the club and to pay for officials.
