Gateshead Rugby Football Club

Who we are

Description

Gateshead RFC is community rugby club. GRFC was formed in 1998 by the merger of 2 longstanding clubs: North Durham RFC and Gateshead Fell RFC. We are proud to have county and national representatives over many decades but equally proud to enable so many people to enjoy sport and the camaraderie that provides. We provide rugby for more than 450 children and adults with youth rugby starting at 5 years old. We regularly field 3 adult men's teams and have just started a ladies venture. We also run social events enjoyed by our wider community and our groups continue to raise money for local and national charities. Our club is also used by community groups for various functions including regular yoga and keep fit groups and charity events.
