Description
Alive is dedicated to improving the quality of life of older people and their carers. Our vision is a world where older people live lives full of value, meaning and connection. We work to prioritise health and wellbeing into later life by: - Engaging older people creatively through meaningful activity sessions; including movement/dance, music, poetry, creative art, guided reminiscence, multi-sensory sessions, digital storytelling, social/therapeutic horticulture and intergenerational activities. - Training and supporting carers and care home staff to enrich the lives of older people. - Reducing older people's social isolation by connecting them to their local communities. - Speaking up for the rights of older people to those with the power to improve their lives. We work across Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.
