The MAZI Project

Who we are

Description

The MAZI Project empowers Bristol's disadvantaged 16 - 25 year olds through food. We support care leavers, young asylum seekers, youth recovering from homelessness and victims of domestic violence. As an organisation we are on a mission to transform food provision whilst improving the lives of our city's marginalised young people. Our vision is to create a world where access to fresh, healthy and sustainable food is not a privilege. Together with Bristol’s independent food sector, local community and established charities, we work towards creating an inclusive environment for vulnerable young people to experience the power of food. We deliver a weekly MAZI Meal Box which includes up to 3 recipes CHOSEN by the recipients. Each box is filled with all the necessary ingredients and locally sourced fruit and vegetables. Additionally, we host aMAZIng cooking workshops that aim to embolden food independence and we cook different cuisines to reflect our diverse cohort.
