Who we are
Description
Established in 2015, FEAST (Feeding and Empowering All Sustainably Together) With Us is a London food poverty charity that sources surplus food to cook nutritious and delicious meals with and for vulnerable people experiencing food insecurity. We mobilise volunteers to cook and provide healthy meals made from surplus food provided by supermarkets, retailers and surplus food distributors. We support a diverse range of vulnerable individuals in Camden, Islington and Barnet; these individuals include those experiencing homelessness, those with severe mental health issues and substance abuse, the elderly, refugees, individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds, and households with low or no incomes. We do this in two ways: 1) cooking and serving nutritious meals with and for vulnerable people, eating together as equals in a community dining environment, and 2) preparing and packaging healthy meals that are delivered to homeless shelters and community venues to be collected.
