Who we are
Description
The DRA vision is to “create a vibrant hub for sport, recreation, education and leisure for the residents of Dartington and surrounding areas, and to offer opportunities for all to improve their health and wellbeing. It is currently home to two local football clubs using two football pitches and The Pavillions, Totnes Sub-Aqua Club, The New Lion Brewery, Pizzalogica, Dartington Bike Track, an inclusive natural play park, Dartington Swimming Pool and others. The 10 acres that make up the Meadowbrook park include a biodiverse rich green and blue infrastructure including Bidwell Brook, wet wildflower meadows, coppiced woodland, wildflower meadow areas, wet woodland and scrub areas. The space is the community hub for Dartington and surrounding villages; bring together people of all ages and abilities. Recent growth of the village and improvements to the playground has increased visitor numbers. Many of the facilities are in need of urgent regeneration, most obviously the swimming pool.
