Who we are
Description
Take A Part CIO is a leading Socially Engaged Arts organisation - working on frameworks for social change using culture and creativity. We use the methodologies of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) and Socially Engaged Arts (SEA) to work with communities historically and systematically underserved and support them, alongside local authorities, housing associations and other place-based organisations, to work towards models of cultural democracy and co-production that develop more representative, inclusive and relevant communities through long-term and embedded relationships. Our outstanding projects & models are sought after by regional, national & international cultural organisations, local authorities & VCSEs that: Support best practice in community placemaking and developing shared strategies Advocate for more & better community-led approaches to culture and placemaking Devolve skills directly into communities to increase social change and sustain local change
