Bridgend Farmhouse is a community owned and run hub in South-East Edinburgh for people to learn, work and grow together to develop a flourishing community and place. We are an award winning Community Benefit Society with charitable status, formed originally in 2011 (previously called Bridgend Inspiring Growth). In 2015 we took ownership of Bridgend Farmhouse in one of the first urban asset transfers in Scotland. We support people of all ages , particularly those excluded through social isolation, mental ill-health, learning disabilities, and poverty in EH16 and EH17 postcodes of Edinburgh, which includes 20 areas defined as the most deprived 5% and 10% and 15% in Scotland by the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD). We have a range of activities and facilities including; Community Food provision and a cafe; Bike repair and hire; gardening; eco-construction; woodwork; singing; arts&crafts; children's and families workshops; youth clubs; peer support; and more.
