National Children's Centre (Yorkshire Children's Centre)

Who we are

Description

Yorkshire Children's Centre charity was established in 1974 and delivers services and support for babies, children, young people and their families and vulnerable adults across Kirklees and West Yorkshire. Our aim is improve the lives of others and inspire change, giving everyone the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our services include children's contact centres, support for people into employment, healthy start projects, safety in the home, domestic abuse prevention, education and support for people who are lonely and isolated. We have sites in Huddersfield, Heckmondwike and Batley. Education is at the heart of the charity and we run two alternative school provisions for up to 80 students aged 14-16 who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We are a registered charity and rely entirely on the support of others to raise the £3m needed this year to continue to deliver our vital services across our communities.
