Who we are
Description
Hair in the Community, a not-for-profit social enterprise under the umbrella of Hair at the Academy. Our mission is to offer free hairdressing, barbering, and beauty services to disadvantaged individuals in Exeter and the wider Devon & Somerset area, along with vocational education and training opportunities to empower those in need. Led by our award-winning team at Hair at the Academy, and already working in collaboration with St Petrock’s Homeless charity, we have seen firsthand the transformative power of personal grooming in boosting confidence and self-worth. Now, with Hair in the Community, we aim to expand our reach and impact even further. Training individuals to become barbers, hairdressers and beauticians to live a more independent and fulfilling life.
