Compass Disability Services
Who we are
Description
We are a user-led charity, set up and run by and for people with personal lived experience of disability and/or caring for a loved one. Each year we support more than 1500 disabled people, unpaid carers, and the wider community to look after their wellbeing and have independence, choice, and control in their lives. Some of the ways we do this include: Day opportunities for people with a learning disability and/or autism to develop their interests, learn new skills and get out and about locally; COGS Social Club - supporting people living with dementia to live well, whilst giving their carer/family a break; Compass Wellbeing – a community centre open to all with hydro-pool, sensory room, café and a range of activities for all ages and Independent Living – providing Direct Payment support services to enable people to have choice and control over how they have their health and social care needs met.
