Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants

Who we are

Description

Since 1997, the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants has provided a place for refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers to rebuild their life with support and community. From classes to casework support to financial assistance, the Centre has a wide offering available for our community of 202 people. We welcome asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants who have been displaced from their countries of origin. For many, arriving in London is just the beginning of a long journey towards settled status and a decent life. Our mission is to offer people the emotional support, practical tools and sense of community they need to build a happy life in the UK. Whether someone is seeking English lessons, advice on housing, accessing healthcare, applying to college, or any of the many challenges of being a migrant in London – we are here for them. Our holistic approach is focused on building community and confidence along with improving health, justice, and access for migrants in London.
