Cockenzie and Port Seton Bowling Club

Who we are

Description

Cockenzie and Port Seton Bowling Club is situated in a small fishing village, ten miles from the capital and was founded in 1948 at a meeting in the local pond hall which means it is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The club has formed an extremely rich history over the years including winning the East Lothian District Division 1 League many times and in recent years winning the Women’s League for the first time as well as the Senior Gents Division 1 league title. The club has 75 playing members as well as over 350 social members many of whom like to dabble in and out of the bowls throughout the season at our open competitions. Such amazing strength and depth in numbers has led to many local cup successes as well as other Division league titles. The biggest success for the club to date has been the Top Ten National event in 2007 where the team went all the way to lift the trophy.
