Who we are
Description
We are the Phoenix Bowmen, a target archery club who shoot outdoors at Copley and indoors at Sowerby Bridge near Halifax, Yorkshire. We are a well-established club with a growing and active membership. Phoenix Bowmen are affiliated to Archery GB, the Northern Counties Archery Society and the Yorkshire Archery Association. We shoot both indoors and outdoors, depending on the season and the weather. We shoot recurves, barebows, compounds and English longbows. All shooting at the club is target shooting, but our members also take part in field archery and clout archery shoots. All practising, prospective and returning archers are welcome. We can lend club equipment to people wanting to give archery a try. The facilities are safe for children.
