Who we are

Description

West Backwell Bowling Club is a local village club run solely by volunteers. The club put on regular events for its members and the local community. All monies raised go back into the club for the benefit of the community and membership. As part of the Clubs commitment to improving the life of its members and local community we are introducing a campaign called ‘Thrive with Bowls’ that: - Uses movement to support people become more active - Reduces isolation and loneliness - Improves mental health and wellbeing We pride ourselves on with our kindly culture & community based spirit; we have a clubhouse kitchen & bar; we run Sunday lunches for our members throughout the year and have an engaging social programme that runs alongside the bowls. Our membership age is 18-90 able-bodied and disabled. We have weekly club nights; fully qualified coaches, accessible facilities; we run regular competitions; play in 5 leagues, have indoor winter short mat.
