Who we are
Description
At One25, we support women who are street sex-working or at risk of street sex work in Bristol. We support women to courageously make changes in their lives to move from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. Our outreach van meets women on the street every night. We provide food, condoms, clean needles, and a safe space. On the van, women are encouraged to visit our health hub where they can see a GP, sexual health nurse, prescribing nurse, and GP nurse. Volunteers also provide food and clothes donations from the health hub. As women come to trust us, eight caseworkers provide intensive one-to-one support to help them tackle the multiple disadvantages and barriers to support that they face. This includes tackling life-controlling issues such as insecure housing, addiction, domestic and sexual violence, and mental ill-health. We partner with 65+ agencies to tackle complex needs and together our staff team has 200+ years’ experience working with marginalised women.
