Who we are
Description
The East Midlands Airport Community Fund is dedicated to bringing lasting benefit to those areas most affected by our airport’s operations. Established in 2002, the EMA Community Fund has helped over 2,000 local charities or community not-for-profit groups to benefit from more than £2.8 million in funding, supporting a diverse range of projects from equipment for village halls to developing wildlife areas. The airport contributes £59,000 each year to the EMA Community Fund and this is topped up with any fines for noisy aircraft. Award decisions are made by an Independent Committee that meets quarterly.
