Fund purpose
The Culture Mile Community Fund was set up as part of our commitment to creating connections with the wider residential community, bringing business and community together to create meaningful local engagement and deliver social impact. We focus on creating a new funding opportunity for projects across the following themes: • Health & Wellbeing • Community • Arts & Culture • Environment & Biodiversity • Equality and Inclusion For our funding programme for 2026/27 we are particularly interested in hearing from: • Charities who work in the area of violence against women and girls (VAWG) • Environmental charities and community groups with an environmental theme Who Can Apply? ✔ Registered charities or charitable incorporated organisations ✔ Charitable companies or social enterprises ✔ Community interest companies (CICs) ✔ Businesses (not-for-profit and without share capital) ✔ Schools Key Information We fund charities that are either based in the Culture Mile BID area OR projects which will directly benefit those living or working in the Culture Mile BID area (please see map.) Though we can consider those that fall just outside this footprint in some cases. Key Dates: 📅 Fund Launch Date: Wednesday 25th March 2026 📝 Application Deadline: Monday 27th April 2026 23:59pm 💵 Minimum grant: £500 | Maximum grant: £6,500 📍 Location: Culture Mile BID footprint ⏳Project Completion Deadline: 31st March 2027 What We Don’t Fund ❌ Retrospective costs or projects already started ❌ Political, religious, or for-profit activities Proposals Should : ✅ Improve people’s lives and have a positive wider impact on the local community and society ✅ Demonstrate who they will target and expected numbers of beneficiaries ✅ Have a well-developed project plan and be ready to start ✅ Represent value for money ✅ Present a clear breakdown of budget and costs For an informal pre-application chat please contact: Sarah Baker, Head of Partnerships and Engagement; sarah@culturemilebid.co.uk For this specific fund, if multiple non-profits want to join together to put in a joint application for funding, they can. Use one non-profit account and clearly signpost the additional non-profit(s). Note: only ONE application per non-profit can be made to this fund. The funder is meeting in May to review applications.
