Fund details & criteria

Fund purpose

At Balfour Beatty, we are committed to creating positive, lasting social impact in the places where we live, work, and build. This employee fund will enable us to invest directly in local organisations that already deliver meaningful support in their communities, and have a deep understanding of local needs. Our employees across the north of England will have the opportunity to vote on how this fund is distributed. Through this fund, we aim to: Support high‑quality, locally led projects that make a tangible difference to community wellbeing, environmental improvement, education, employability, or social inclusion. Enable smaller, grassroots organisations to scale their impact, trial new ideas, or continue vital services. Strengthen long‑term relationships with local partners who share our commitment to building healthier, more resilient communities. Ultimately, the fund is designed to help create positive social value where it matters most, and to support organisations that are already making a proven impact.
