Fund details & criteria

Fund purpose

What is this fund for? This fund backs youth services for young people in Southwark, supported by, but not exclusive to Southwark Council’s PFYPF. It is aimed at organisations that can provide regular, open-access activities and support for local young people, particularly those aged 11–19 and young people with SEND (up to age 25). The focus is on giving young people positive places to go, trusted adults to engage with, and activities that help them develop, connect and thrive. 🏠 Safe and positive places to go 🤝 Trusted adults to engage with 🌱 Opportunities to develop skills and confidence 👥 Chances to connect with others and build relationships 🚀 Support to help them thrive What kind of projects fit? 🎯 Open-access youth programmes 📅 Activities that run consistently throughout the year ☀️ Provision that includes school holiday periods 📍 Services that are accessible to local young people in the borough What isn't this fund for? 🎪 One-off events or short-term activities 🚫 Projects that do not primarily serve young people in Southwark 🏢 Organisations that cannot provide their own delivery venue or demonstrate appropriate governance and financial track record Who is a good fit? You are likely to be a strong match if: You already run youth-focused services. You can deliver regular sessions. You have suitable premises and can meet health and safety requirements. Funding at a glance 💰 Up to £15,000 📆 Funding available up to March 2027 Delivery expected across the period, including school holidays. In simple terms: This fund is for established organisations that can run reliable, year-round youth provision in a specific part of Southwark. If your organisation helps local young people build confidence, skills, connections and positive futures through regular activities, this is likely to be relevant. If your idea is a one-off project, outside the target area, or you lack the organisational infrastructure to deliver sustained youth work, it probably is not.
