Fund purpose
Founded in 1869, Sir Robert McAlpine is a family-owned construction and civil engineering company. While we take pride in delivering world-class projects, our commitment to communities is just as important. That’s why we launched Strong Foundations Grants in 2020 – to support grassroots charities and community organisations near our sites and offices. For 2025, we’re looking to fund projects that create meaningful change and lasting impact in local communities. We believe building Britain’s future heritage goes beyond construction – it’s about the legacy we leave behind. The grant is open to new ideas or existing initiatives that aim to improve lives and strengthen communities.
