Fund details & criteria

Fund purpose

Brent Cross Town, a 180-acre new town centre project north of Cricklewood being delivered through a joint venture between Related Argent and Barnet Council, is a visionary development built on core values of social connectivity, environmental sustainability and health & wellness. We are committed to creating a town where all can flourish by enabling flourishing lifestyles. You can learn more about the development here: https://brentcrosstown.co.uk/. Brent Cross Town, together with energy partner Vattenfall, is excited to launch a fund for 2025, providing a total of £50,000. Our focus this year is on Employment, Skills, Training and Education, driven by the understanding that skills and careers are the foundation for healthy, safe and thriving communities, enabling quality of life and a shared, collective future. This development presents a significant opportunity, both now and in the future, for local residents and communities. We want to work closely with local partners to stay connected to community needs and support locally led ideas and solutions. With a construction phase expected to last two decades, and incoming businesses ranging from retail and hospitality to estate management and new office occupiers, the emerging opportunity to forge a career locally is growing. We are seeking to support projects and initiatives that support people into these emerging sectors at Brent Cross Town. We are providing a total amount of £50,000, with individual grant amounts ranging from £3,000 to £10,000. A local stakeholder judging panel will shortlist projects, announced in November, and the local community will be invited to vote in support of their favourite initiatives, which will help determine the final allocation of funding. What We Can Support 🔹 Initiatives that contribute to Employment, Skills, Training and Education outcomes 🔹 Projects that are tailored to local emerging industries, but especially construction 🔹 Applications that are clear on how they will create opportunity and benefit to the residents and communities nearest to Brent Cross Town, particularly the Cricklewood and West Hendon wards. 🔹 Projects that have a clear picture of what success looks like and how impact will be measured What We Are Not Able To Fund ❌ Retrospective costs or projects already started ❌ Political, religious, or for-profit activities ❌ Projects not connected to our development, local community or industry ❌ General running costs, staffing, or overheads
