Fund purpose
The Better Futures Community Fund supports projects and charities in areas supplied by SES Water, helping to build stronger communities. • At SES Water, at least £70,000 per year will be awarded over five years. • Funding supports groups focused on: Physical activity, Education, Health and wellbeing, Environmental impact. • Funding will be given once every 12 months per organisation. ⸻ ✅ Eligibility Criteria Your project must focus on one or more of these areas: • Nature & Environment – Projects protecting nature and improving community wellbeing. • Education – Helping people of all ages grow and develop. • Community – Bringing people together and creating a sense of purpose. • Vulnerability – Supporting people who need extra help. ⸻ ✅ Who Can Apply? • Located in the SES Water supply area. • Schools, colleges, or academies. • Registered charities and other not-for-profit organisations. • Constituted groups or clubs. • Community Interest Companies (CICs). • Local community groups (e.g. cricket clubs, allotment groups, scout groups, garden clubs). ⸻ ✅ What We Can Fund • Equipment hire or purchase. • Skills and training. • Employee salaries for work directly on the project. • Professional fees (e.g. builders, groundworkers, interpretation design agencies). ⸻ 🚫 What We Can’t Fund • Applicants under 18. • Profit-making businesses (e.g. limited companies, sole traders). • Individuals. • Projects outside our service area. • Projects needing significant extra funding to complete. • Retrospective costs — only new projects are funded. • Projects with political or religious purposes.* • Applications for the same project rejected in the same financial year. *Religious organisations may apply if the project benefits the wider community and does not include religious content. ⸻ 🎥 Application Process • Video applications are encouraged but not required. • Grant sizes vary — ask for what your project truly needs. • Applications are reviewed and funded on a rolling basis throughout the year. 👉 More info: https://seswater.co.uk/about-us/our-community/better-futures-fund ⸻ 🎯 New to ActionFunder?
