Get Living are a pioneering rental operator, committed to creating neighbourhoods that bring people together, inspire connection and help them to live well. With seven neighbourhoods across England including Sherlock Quarter in Birmingham, we offer quality homes for rent, liberated from compromise. It's important to us that our neighbourhoods, and the residents and retailers who rent with us, are part of the local community. The Get Living Inspiring Communities Fund was established to help us identify and support community organisations delivering against local social need. We are delighted to launch our first Inspiring Birmingham fund, launching 1st May 2025. In order to enhance positive impact, we focus our social investment on four areas, so your application must cover at least one of these: - Supporting skills, enterprise and employment - Enhancing health and wellbeing - Connecting people to nature and sustainable behaviours - Celebrating arts and culture Where possible we seek to work with the recipients of our funds to further impact, through volunteering, connecting them with our residents and bringing partners together in new collaborations. Please do bring out opportunities to work with us in this way in your project requests. We aim to work with very local partners, helping us to connect authentically with the neighborhood in which we are located, and our fund size is designed to be suitable for micro through to medium sized organisations - you can apply for any amount ranging from £5000 - £20,000. By working with ActionFunder we are able to make connections with a range of local organisations and to benefit from their governance structures. They also help to run our selection panels made up of local neighborhoods representatives, community stakeholders and our environmental and social governance colleagues, which helps to determine the recipients in a consistent and fair process. Our aim is for social value work we support to be inclusive. In line with this, we do not support any religious or political organisations, and we do consider accessibility and inclusiveness in our panel scoring sessions. We run the fund at all our neighborhoods, spanning Manchester, Birmingham, Leatherhead, Maidenhead, Stratford and Lewisham and we are happy to receive funding applications from partners who work across multiple areas, but please do submit via the different local funding streams.
