The Culture Mile Business Improvement District – an area in the Square Mile brimming with cultural creativity, commercial vibrancy and a strong sense of community - is delighted to launch its third community fund with ActionFunder. Through this community fund, we seek to support a breadth of local projects that drive positive social and environmental impact in the local community. The Fund is managed by the Environmental, Social and Governance Steering group of the BID and applications are welcomed from any projects that will clearly benefit those who live or work in the Culture Mile BID area. This year as part of our commitment to supporting Arts for All, tackling barriers to arts and cultural participation for Londoners, we are particularly keen to hear from projects with a focus on: • Young People and the Arts – in particular childhood exposure to Arts • Engagement via practical workshops to increase access and participation in the Arts • Projects creating “Gateway Experiences” to new groups and communities It may be helpful to read our Report on Arts for All on our website: https://culturemilebid.co.uk/about-us/publications/ For this specific fund, if multiple non-profits want to join together to put in a joint application for funding, they can. Use one non-profit account and clearly signpost the additional non-profit(s). The fund cannot fund projects that are political or religious or lobbying in nature and organisations cannot be awarded two awards in one grant cycle but grantees from previous years can apply again. Note: only ONE application per non-profit can be made to this fund. The funder is meeting in early June to review applications. Applicants should expect to be updated soon after.
