Fund purpose
Focus Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Focus Group, a leading UK provider of essential business technology with their Head Office in Shoreham. Through a community of employees, customers and suppliers, Focus Foundation aims to positively impact communities around Focus Group offices throughout the UK. We recognise that grassroots charities have limited access to funding and resources, making it difficult for them to compete with larger charitable organisations, despite their deep community impact. Focus Foundation supports grassroots charities with an annual income of below £1 million. Charities can apply for a grant between £2000 and £5000, for projects that align with one of our 3 core pillars: * Socially or Economically Disadvantaged Children or Young People * Mental Health Initiatives * If your charity does not fit into either the mental health or underprivileged children pillar, then you could apply for a grant under the Community Project pillar. If applying under this pillar, the charity will need to be located within East or West Sussex. The grant application must be for a fully funded project that is tangible and has clear and measurable benefits for its recipients. We accept applications from the below organisations: * Registered charities or charitable incorporated organisations * Charitable companies or social enterprises * Community Interest Companies (CICs) * Not for profit organisations Focus Foundation looks to create a relationship with each charity we fund so that we can offer support outside of the grant process, this support could include: * Introduction to Focus Group * Fundraising assistance * Mentoring to help you focus on growing your charity * We amplify your impact by sharing with other like-minded funders and by showcasing your charity during our events * We have access to, and we share all our volunteering opportunities across our network What we don't fund: * General running costs, staffing or overheads * Part-funded projects * Retrospective costs or projects that are already underway To learn more about the foundation, please visit www.focusfoundation.org.uk Focus Foundation's mission is to connect communities to empower grassroots charities to thrive.
