Fund purpose

Backyard Nature and Clarion Futures, the charitable arm of Clarion housing association, are offering seasonal funding up to £1000 per project. The micro grants are specifically for projects that: 1. Operate near or in housing associations (please specify which one in your pitch or application) 2. Support nature to thrive in their neighbourhood 3. Have a strong intergenerational focus. Projects should bring young and older people together 4. Are youth-led. This means that young people have come up with the project idea of contributed heavily to it's creation. Applications will be reviewed by an intergenerational board on 5th February. Videos pitches are encouraged to help with accessibility. Please note a condition of the funding will be for groups to complete a Green Research survey with an intergenerational group to collect information about the outdoor spaces in estates near them. We provide all of the questions, a toolkit for measuring and a donations for snacks so that research teams can have fun and tell us more about the spaces where they live! For more information please see this page: https://www.backyardnature.org/intergenerational-microgrants-iwill-2025-2/ ---- This micro grant is available through a £1.2m programme funded by the participating housing associations with additional support from the #iwill Fund – a joint fund from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and The National Lottery Community Fund that supports young people to access high quality social action opportunities.
