Fund purpose

Inspiring Maidenhead Community Fund 2024 Get Living is delighted to launch its first Inspiring Maidenhead Community Fund. As long-term stakeholders in the town, following the opening of One Maidenhead, our new rental neighbourhood, we’re committed to becoming part of the community and supporting groups, charities, educational organisations and social enterprises in the local area. We have identified the areas where we feel we can have a material impact. By focusing our programming, partnerships and charitable activity both corporately and at a local level on these we hope to deliver social value. We are seeking partners who can and help us meet local need in these areas: 1. Promoting nature and sustainable behaviours Promoting the preservation and enhancement of nature, connecting our residents and local communities to nature, and using these activities as a platform from which to influence sustainable behaviours. 2. Connecting people to skills, enterprise and employment Supporting the development of skills (personal, technical or academic), enterprise skills and success business, and access to employment. 3. Supporting health and wellbeing We want to support the health and wellbeing of our residents and local communities; this could be physical health i.e. through opportunities to move, mental health i.e. access to support or reducing isolation, or financial health i.e. access to financial planning. 4. Celebrating arts and culture We want to create neighbourhoods with a sense of place, and celebrating arts and culture will be key to our approach. We are also keen to do more with our funding recipients in terms of volunteering where this can help deliver further positive impact.
