Central District Alliance, the Business Improvement District for Holborn and Clerkenwell, has launched the third year of their Social and Community Fund, focussing on projects that are making a difference in their local communities. The Social and Community Fund aims to support charitable organisations within south Camden and south Islington, proximate to the BID, enabling people to participate and engage actively in their communities. We welcome social enterprises, registered charities, community businesses and informal groups to submit an application in this round of funding for 2024. The core objectives of the Social and Community Fund: - Opportunities and ideas to address inequality and promote inclusion will be scored highly. - Inspire discovery and participation; celebrate the diversity of our members and our local area and all the benefits that it brings to this part of London. - Projects or events that support their communities with the rising cost of living e.g. cooking on a budget, opportunities to bring people together and reduce loneliness. - Create meaningful connections between individuals, businesses, and places and support our members and other stakeholders to work together to achieve their shared goals. - Ignite positive change and move things forward; innovating and challenging the status quo to think differently delivering the best results for our members and the wider community. ~~~~~ Applying for funding on ActionFunder is a bit different. Here’s the process: sign up, register your organisation and post a project you want funding for. Your project will automatically match with any funds you meet the criteria for (grant amount, location, focus area). If you want to apply for this fund, make sure your project meets the criteria. Your project will remain live on the platform (ready to match with new funds) until you successfully win funding. ActionFunder’s all about saving you time so that you can get on with what matters: community action.
