Fund purpose
Fleet Street Quarter is pleased to announce that we are giving away grants of up to £3,000 to community organisations in the local area. Fleet Street Quarter is committed to celebrating its local community, who play a vital role in shaping our district. We are looking to support projects which directly impact the area and ensure we are supporting local community groups. We've partnered with ActionFunder to launch this fund, which supports local groups looking for funding to make the Fleet Street Quarter area a great place to be. We hope that the Community Funds Programme will assist charities, community businesses and local groups in achieving their goals and delivering ever more inspiring work across the Fleet Street Quarter In February 2022, local businesses voted overwhelmingly in favour of establishing the Fleet Street Quarter Business Improvement District (BID). This favourable outcome demonstrates a strong mandate amongst businesses to work more collectively in leading, shaping and influencing a comprehensive programme of activity – positioning the Fleet Street Quarter as a thriving and vibrant destination. Encompassing an area which features Fleet Street at its heart, but embracing fascinating areas such as Chancery Lane, Holborn, Ludgate Hill and New Street Square, the Fleet Street Quarter aspires to shape the whole area into a thriving place to live, work, and visit. The BID will create a strong business collective, providing a powerful voice for local businesses, enhancing the physical environment, injecting new energy into the area, and creating a safer and cleaner destination for all who live, work or visit the area. ~~~~~ Applying for funding on ActionFunder is a bit different. Here’s the process: sign up, register your organisation and post a project you want funding for. Your project will automatically match with any funds you meet the criteria for (grant amount, location, focus area). If you want to apply for this fund, make sure your project meets the criteria. Your project will remain live on the platform (ready to match with new funds) until you successfully win funding.
