Aldgate Connect has launched a £26,420 fund to support community organisations working in the Aldgate area! Community organisations can apply for up to £3,000 for projects that: - Aim to address climate change and how our urban environment needs to adapt to support a greener and more sustainable world, or - Support people to enter good work and education in order to become a cohesive and prosperous neighbourhood, or - Develop skills through upskilling, skills sharing and training local people into employment Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until 15th November at 11:59pm. The Aldgate Connect Community Fund is open to applications that include some core costs, alongside specific items or services. Aldgate Connect is a Business Improvement District set up in April 2020 to support the Aldgate area. They work on programmes and projects that make this area more appealing, welcoming, stronger and safer. With a vast array of cultures, businesses and places to enjoy, it makes this area one of the most diverse and exciting places to be, work, visit and live. Together with the local authority partners, businesses and local communities, the BID is able to enhance Aldgate as a destination for all.
