Fund purpose
Trillium is a landmark regeneration project that will deliver 556 new homes in Westminster. The development of the former Paddington Green Police Station site on Edgware Road will provide 39% affordable housing on-site, with a further 11% delivered at the Mayor of London's strategic site in Barnet, achieving an overall provision of 50% affordable homes. The Trillium Community Fund has been established to support local organisations that are creating positive social, environmental, and economic outcomes for residents living in and around the Edgware Road and Paddington area. Through the fund, we aim to strengthen community wellbeing, reduce inequalities, improve access to opportunities, and support initiatives that bring people together and create lasting local impact. We welcome applications from registered charities, community interest companies (CICs), constituted community groups, and other not for profit organisations delivering projects that benefit local people. Funding may be used to support a range of activities, including community programmes, skills and employment initiatives, youth engagement, health and wellbeing projects, environmental improvements, community events, and activities that promote social inclusion and cohesion. Priority will be given to projects that: • Demonstrate a clear local need and positive community impact. • Benefit residents within Westminster, particularly those living close to the Trillium development. • Engage underrepresented or vulnerable groups. • Encourage partnership working and community participation. • Deliver measurable outcomes and represent good value for money. We cannot fund projects that have already taken place, political activities, religious activities that do not demonstrate wider community benefit, statutory services, loan repayments, or activities that do not directly benefit the local community. Applications will be assessed on the strength of their proposed impact, community reach, organisational capacity, value for money, and alignment with the aims of the fund. Successful applicants will demonstrate a clear understanding of local needs, a realistic delivery plan, and the ability to achieve meaningful outcomes for local people.
