Fund purpose
Fund Purpose: The East Midlands Airport Community Fund is dedicated to bringing lasting benefit to those areas most affected by the airport’s operations. Who can apply: ✅ Charities, community groups and not-for-profit community organisations ✅ Projects within the EMA 'Area of Benefit' - Use our helpful look-up tool - https://gis.magairports.com/portal/apps/instant/basic/index.html?appid=e3b7947dc54e463dab4b6c7eb68d000e ✅ Preference given to grassroots organisations established for at least 12 months What we fund: ✔ Your project must have a lasting benefit to the community ✔ The items you bid for must be tangible, such as equipment and furniture. ✔ Project should benefit all members of the community regardless of age, race, religion, gender, ability or religion What we don't fund: ❌ Admin or running costs, consumable items, wages or training, rent, events, hire costs ❌ Land or building purchase. Building works or repair. Maintenance. Installation and labour. ❌ Projects already started or completed ❌ Schools and other Statutory Bodies ❌ Political, religious, individuals or for-profit activities Your project must align with one of our fund objectives: 🔹Bring the community closer together through sport, recreation, and other leisure time activities 🔹Support young people to prepare for the world of work. 🔹Environmental and wildlife improvement or conservation. 🔹Heritage conservation. Key information: 📝Application deadline: 5 October 2026 at 17:00 🤝Decisions made by our independent Fund Committee at a meeting on 2 November 2026. 💵Maximum grant £2,000. There is also a cap of £500 for sports kit which is limited to youth teams only 🏬You must demonstrate how items will be stored, kept safe and maintained 🔗Demonstrate that you are an established group by providing links to the required supporting information, including your organisations constitution, your annual financial records and quotes for the items you wish to purchase.
